Wednesday, August 30
2:00 pm – 6pm: Welcome Back to Lead East! Spend the afternoon getting settled and take advantage of early registration on both car spaces and hotel rooms for next year’s show in the Hilton lobby

7:30 PM: Kickoff Party held in the BALLROOM with D.J. Lil Jimmy of Lil Jimmy’s Stack of Records and special guest DJs!! Reunite with your Lead East family and dance the night away to the great sounds of early rock and roll!

6-8 PM:  Concert ticket sales at ticket booth, located inside Hilton front door.  Credit cards accepted

Thursday, August 31, 2023:
Noon – 6:00 PM. If you haven’t pre-registered your car spot or hotel room, now is the time to do it in the Hilton Lobby for the 2024 show.  All rooms non-renewed will be released for sale on Friday. 

9:00 AM: Collectibles show and other vendors will be open in the hallway area by the ballroom.

9:00 AM: Meadowlands Street Rods, does auto repairs at their booth.  Available to anyone needing service.

9:00 AM until late in the night: Welcome back to Brandon McCoy of Gooch Freehand Pinstriping in front of hotel in vendor area.  He’ll be joining us again all the way from Oklahoma!!

Noon – 4PM:  Concert tickets sales at ticket booth, located inside the Hilton front door. Credit cards accepted

Noon - 9:00PM: DJ Jerry "The Wolfman" Burst will be playing Oldies music outside on the PA System. Stroll around the parking lot and listen to the sweet sounds of the oldies! He’ll be taking requests, dedications, and making announcements! Tune to 88.1FM to hear the music on your radio.

6:00pm -9:00 pm Craigles the Clown will be cruising the parking lot in her “Clown” cart welcoming our guests and posing for photos. Youngsters are encouraged to participate.

7:30PM - MIDNIGHT: The "ACE" Drive-In opens. 7:30 - 8:00 Cartoons for the kids. Double Feature movies begin at 8 PM; titles to be announced. Bring a lawn chair or something to sit on... there’s plenty of space! The "ACE" Drive-In is located behind the hotel in the parking lot. See you there!

8:00 PM: Welcome Party in the BALLROOM hosted by The GOLDEN GUP!! Enjoy the smooth, swinging tunes, and good times with the always cool and entertaining, Golden Gup!! It’s a tradition! See you there!

Friday, September 1, 2023:
9:00 AM - 12:00 midnight: LEAD EAST is open to the public! DJ Jerry "Wolfman" Burst plays your favorite Oldies music outside on the PA system. He’ll be taking requests, dedications, and making announcements! Tune to 88.1FM to hear the music on your radio.

You are welcome to bring your own microphone. There will be 5 other mics available to rotate between performances while sanitizing them in between. Wind covers will also be provided for each microphone during use.

12:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Come join Jesse at Blue Sky Performance and Restoration and take your shot at rolling beads into sheet metal. They will provide various sketching tools to create your own bead rolling design using a Baileigh Industrial Electric bead roller! The bead roller will be free to use Friday-Sunday from 12:30 to 2. Limited one panel per person per day. This seminar is located by the back revolving doors behind the outdoor stage. Come check it out!

2:00 PM – 6:00 PM:  Registration for Lead East 2024 in the Hilton Lobby.  The balance of all available rooms will be on sale on a first come-first served basis.  After you get your room, reserve your Plan A and your wristbands.

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Coolest Cruiser Contest!!! Please assemble by the outdoor stage. DJ Jerry “Wolfman” Burst will MC this People’s Choice Award. The car or truck with the most cheers, clapping, noise wins!!

5:30 PM-7:30 PM Horsepower Happy Hour by the pool.  $2 beer drafts & Finger Food, take a break have a snack and a beer.

Saturday, September 2, 2023:

11:00 AM: Story time, face painting and photos with Craigles the Clown in Clown Hall. (Silver room.)  Kids must be accompanied by an adult. Absolutely no drop-offs.

11:00 AM – NOON: Basic dance lessons held in elements ballroom hosted by Lou Vinci. Bring a partner and let’s dance!!!

NOON - 2:00 PM: Model Car Customizing Contest for children under 17 (under 12 must be accompanied by an adult). There will be several categories and all model kits and supplies will be provided. Those who wish to bring their own model kits and adults over 17 are welcome! The contest will be held in the Hotel outdoor pool courtyard. This event is free, but limited.   There will be a special surprise!

8:00 PM: Join us for “The Wolfman’s Stroll Party” with DJ Jerry “Wolfman” Burst!!! We do the Stroll together every year at Lead East…. it’s tradition! Get in on the action this year and let’s stroll. Meet by the Wolfman’s DJ booth! Be there or be square!

8:30 PM until Midnight: The Golden Gup and the Rhythmhancers will perform on the outdoor stage located by the back door of the Hotel. This is surely a LEAD EAST tradition! Don’t miss the music and the fun! 

Midnight: The GOLDEN GUP's late night Rhythm & Blues PARKING LOT PARTY with his jukebox-powered, shockingly pink "JUKEBUG."

Sunday, September 3, 2023:

9 AM – 5 PM:  Corvette Round up and Muscle Car Mania in Campus 9 lot.
No cruising other lots; Campus 9 lot only.  Judging and awards presentation in lot at 5 PM.  All year muscle cars and Corvettes welcome. All cars unless preregistered must go to old car registration and be registered.

8:00 AM – 9AM: Friends of Bill W. in the Aluminum room

9:00 - 9:45 AM: Sunday Chapel Service (multi denominational) held in the Ballroom, led by The Most Reverend Jim Craig (our event director).

1:00 PM: History of Rock and Roll Concert in the Ballroom: An afternoon filled with all the music you remember. You’ll be dancing in your seat or on the dance floor to Deb Dynamite and Crash Gordon, Hipp Pipps, Dibbs & the Detonators. Featured Act is Johnny Rogers and his uncanny portrayal of the late Buddy Holly, a tribute to the legendary Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ricky Nelson and Chuck Berry, and many more. You won’t want to miss Johnny’s portrayal the late Elvis Presley.

2:00 – 3:00 PM: Madison Dance lesson with Lou Vinci in elements ballroom

3:30 – 4:30 PM:  Take a trip! Go beyond the music, past the myths, and behind the scenes with Ron Farber, the legendary Music Authority, in the Aluminum room.

5:00 - 5:30 PM: Awards presentations on the OUTDOOR stage featuring DJ Lil Jimmy.

5:00 -6:00 PM: Prom Queens’s promenade!! Convertibles line up by the front door of the Hampton hotel by "The Wolfman" and pomade a few laps around the parking lot. All past Prom Queens are welcome! All Queens and their escorts must be seated inside the car as they promenade the parking lot. This is a Lead East Tradition for 36 years!!! Bring your camera!

6:00 PM: The 37th Annual Senior High School Prom held in the Ballroom.  All are invited! Appropriate formal wear, please. Tickets available for purchase throughout the weekend at the concert ticket booth.  More detail to follow.
