50'S OLDIES CONCERTS: While the remaining tickets will be on sale at the door of the event, many people choose to order their concert tickets for first choice of the best reserved seats in advance of the event. You can do so using the mail/fax form linked above or by phone, (908) 876-9100.
OLD CAR ENTRIES: About half of the people bringing old cars pre-register their vehicle in advance for a lower entry fee and to speed their entry upon arrival at the event. (See section below to learn about LEAD EAST's car admission policy.) Select the easiest way for you to register:

Participant Old Car Registration - Includes car, licensed driver, plus one adult & driver's kids under 18. Includes all activities except Fri., Sat. & Sun. night concerts (extra & optional).
Weekend Spectator Registration - Includes all activities except Fri., Sat. & Sun. night concerts (extra & optional).
Adult = 18 to 65 years old JR. = 12 to 17 years (no drivers) SR. = 66 years and older Children = 11 & under. Children's admission is FREE to car show if accompanied by adult. Tickets required for Fri., Sat. & Sun, night Oldies Concert.
TYPES OF OLD CARS ADMITTED: LEAD EAST is for 1972 & earlier cars and trucks. Muscle cars, etc. of pre-'73 vintage are welcome. Any chopped car/truck or hydraulic or air bag-lifted Lowrider welcome, regardless of vintage. True later custom cars/ trucks welcome, regardless of year (Send a photo with Registration for OK - A newer 'Vette with a hood scoop and custom paint is not a custom - i.e. a "leadsled", for example.) No 18-wheelers, no motorcycles; no bikes, skateboards, roller blades, roller skates, scooters or undersized vehicles (for safety reasons). Permits required in advance from Lead East for all Handicapped support vehicles (i.e. golf carts, etc.)
Note: No refunds or cancellations. However, cancellations made in writing in advance of the event may be applied to next year's event. This does NOT apply to hotel room reservations..
LEAD EAST, the "World's Biggest 50's Party," started in 1983 as a car event, and grew into a giant Oldies Nostalgia Weekend. The word LEAD refers to the material auto body men used in the 40's and 50's to fill seams, and is a vernacular slang term referring to customized cars, which abound at LEAD EAST. It has expanded into a four day weekend of Oldies bands, Oldies vendors, dancing, drive-in movies - LEAD EAST brings back the good ol' days!
Spectators or concert goers without old cars are always welcome!
